Kulat Sisir Masak Lemak Cili Api

AsSalam & Good Day,

It's funny because today story is about Malay cuisine name Kulat Sisir Masak Lemak Cili Padi..

Since my English writing mostly refer to MR.GOOGLE TRANSLATE, so i try find word for Kulat Sisir.

Popp..the English word appeared:
Kulat = Fungus
Sisir = Comb

so, hahahahahhahah!

What a direct translation...

By the way, talking about the cuisine, last day during my visit at 
Pekan Sari Temerloh @ Temerloh Moning Market,
I found TWO new thing for me..
It were Kulat Sisir and Terung Asam.

Kulat Sisir is type of fungus which grow up at surface of dead rubber tree especial trunk. Mostly arise after rainy day. Cannot be cultivated because it grow itself.
Very small type of fungus yet taste very awesome I tell you..hahahha!! Until today I feel so craving for it..

Durian Crepe Oh Durian Crepe...

Assalam & Good day

Today I am going to write about a phenomena just strikes all  people in Malaysia (especially WOMEN)..

hahahahah...

CREPE DURIAN a.k.a LEMPENG DURIAN

I also was influenced when a friend keep story to me how delicious and temptation the taste of this lempeng.

I make some search and research what is this food.

Crepe is mixtures of flour (depend on the recipes, egg, little bit sugar and salt, water, milk etc.

Durian is durian lah meh
(the king of the fruit in Malaysia)

and finally, I am falling in love of the appearance, the taste and the aura..
hahahhah..aura of strongly smelly durian..!

Below are my Durian Crepe 'Art'













Here is the recipe that i always use for my home business.

The Ingredient for the skin:

20 gm plain flour 
20 gm tapioca/cassava flour
10 gm custard flour
10 gm corn flour
1 egg
1 tablespoon corn oil / butter - melted
essence vanilla
lemon food coloring
1 spoon sugar
150 ml water (I add about  50 ml extra)
50 ml evaporated milk


Steps: mix all together, please avoid bubble-to get smooth skin without crack, torn, or small hollow spot which is not good for quality DC. 

Filling:
Durian adequately
Non Dairy Whipping Cream + essence vanilla = whipped until thick


This recipe was given by my sister and I really don't know where its come from.. I cannot credit to the real owner here but if the owner read this blog, I hope she/he don't mind it..because your recipe already help a lot DC lover taste the most delicious dessert in their entire life!

Walkabout at Pekan Sehari Temerloh

It's been quite long not writing here because of daily work and responsibility too much and not easy to handle. But, as we know, that the normal life of human being.

Today story is about my weekend (yesterday morning-16/12/12), my husband, my beloved daughter and myself join the group -

Nikon Gathering at Temerloh, Pahang

 since we all one family are 

Nikon freak!!! Hahahahh

Supposedly the gathering program begin at 8.00 am but since we stay in Kuantan, and the day rain so heavy.  We departed at 7.30 am so-so and manage to arrived at location at 9.15 am..

along the rainy journey, my hubby tend to slow driving even though we are already late!

After registration, took photo with all members (around 70 person), we are encourage to capture any scene along that Pekan sehari/Pasar Tani.

Satay Minang/Satay Padang

Taste so different than normal satay that we eat during celebration or open house.
Made from chicken flash, just marinate with turmeric and seasoning ( i guess) and grill it with wood charcoal.
Eat along with Nasi Himpit/Ketiupat Nasi and gravy very thick. 
Taste like very spicy floury gravy...hemmm..it's all i can say about this satay..
but MasyaAllah, people would long line up and wait patiently to get this satay..
but i makan satay 4 cucuk tak habis pun...

Makcik Otai Chicken Seller (Free range chicken a.k.a Ayam Kampung)

ubat kuat a.k.a exotic traditional medicine..for those who got health problem and like to try this, you may come here and try it yourself (for myself, i quite skeptical with this kind of medicine..haha

Between two GOLD- One golden tempoyak the other ONE golden the fake gold...trust me..
you can get jewelry too..

One thing special about this stall, 
I passed here quite early that morning, around 9.30 am but after almost 11.30 am,  
I passed again front of this lady, suddenly the tempoyak's jars exploded all around the table..
about 4-5 jars explode because of fermentation of over ripe durian flesh.. 
what a funny and streaked experience...harharhar!

The Chilly Paper

The Smoked River Fish. This is the first time I saw this kind of fish all my life. 
Very interesting thing.

Soursop: 1kg per RM6.00..nice!
